Other Senior Rugby / Yielder CHUF Charity Jamboree
« on: October 13, 2016, 10:22:35 AM »
At Ryton we have an charity event on Saturday 15th October - to raise money for a cause dear to The Yielder family’s heart (CHUF) and also to show our appreciation for one of our longest standing players on his retirement after 40+ years playing at one club, starting as a young ‘un and then becoming 1st team captain.

CHUF'S aim is to raise money to buy equipment, facilities, aftercare and research for the Children's Heart Unit and the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit at the Freeman Hospital.

The main event will be a VETS game taking place (kick-off at 3.00) - Any players 35/40/50+ at a lose end are welcome to attend (even if not to play) - it will be a current(ish) Ryton third team vs Yielder Invitational XV (ranging from late thirties to late fifties) - liniment, physio (not a miracle worker) , ambulance and defibrillator will be supplied :-)

if you fancy booking your guest spot - please send an email to rytonrugby@gmail.com or just turn up on the day

I share the sentiment - great to see a club put out a team week after week regardless , great win for them - onwards and upwards

what about Redcar played them last year and if they keep the same side and get that side out on a weekend then they will be contenders as well me thinks - getting tighter and tighter!
