Pretty sure Charlie Challenor turned out for Redcar 1st team this season. Must be in his 60s now.

If someone wants to do a little folk dance as a challenge to war then they should expect and respect other peoples response to said challenge.

Always hated Morris Dancing and Hakas and love to see oppositions get in the dancers' faces.

Yes, I agree West should have known the ruling and acted accordingly. My point was that they didn't have the benefit of their team manager being centrally involved in a discussion on the very ruling, in the week leading up to the event.
I thought ''Well done Westoe'' was slightly excessive praise in the circumstances.
Barnesy is my mate and I'm not surprised Westoe acted correctly, but any other action would've been unthinkable!
Ignorance is no defence against the consequences, but it is quite different to deliberately and dishonestly manipulating a situation - so I'm trying to cut West a little slack here.
With regard to HitMan's report, I have long felt that if a team goes to uncontested scrums then the option of scrummage, where other options exist, should be removed.
For me, the depleted side should not be given the benefit of guaranteed good possession. It's open to abuse so take away the option.

Merely a supporter now Mugsy. Resigned from committee and Management duties.

Been on both sides of the uncontested thing now.

Definitely should be reviewed by the RFU as on both occasions the side going uncontested were the ones who benefited.

Maybe allowing non-offending side to have free kick instead may work? Especially if caused by yellow/red cards and not by injury.,

I read it that way as well, donít agree with it as a rule though, even though I know why itís there. It seems to me that any Clubs who sustain bona fide injuries are being penalised for something beyond their control.

It's particularly harsh at DN1 & 2 level, with only 3 subs, so only 1 front row replacement.

Also harsh on non-offending side when uncontested scrums kill any momentum and opportunity for attack.

A sinbin offence should give non-offending side opportunities.

Going uncontested allows sides to quickly form defence and negates much of the advantage from the extra man.

Also, removes opportunity to put extra pressure on opposing pack and tire them while offender is off the pitch. Going uncontested gives the forwards a welcome break.

I can confirm that Hartlepool packed down with 8 but did not remove an additional player

Westoe also has a stand on Wood Terrace - which appears to house patients on an outing from the local psychiatric clinic, displaying symptoms of Tourette's syndrome and other disorders which cause them to be abnormally anti-social in a highly abusive manner.
They are so offensive that even Dave Barnes pre-warns opposition teams to ''take no notice of the idiots over there, and don't stand on that side of the field''.

Although we have a rather nice stand, our pitch is covered with cricket players in woolly jumpers when the Cups are held, so we can't shout at anyone.

Should be a great game.

All games in last two years have been very close with lead changing hands several times a match.

20-39 win to Westoe - Keeping things interesting at the top and bottom of the league.

Good performance by Ponteland, leading with twenty to go.
