Other Senior Rugby / Pitches
« on: July 07, 2018, 09:49:04 PM »
I wonder what condition club's pitches will be in come September given the prolonged hot, dry spell to date and the forecast?  If you are fortunate enough to have an artifical pitch please don't gloat.

North One / Relegation 2

Wonder why the Relegation thread was locked?

Anyway Northern and West are relegated with Percy Park also looking likely to follow them.  Park have a game in hand and need to overtake Huddersfield YMCA but YMCA have a home game next week over an already relegated West.

Looks like 3 NE teams into DN1 and lots of level transfer possibilities.

Durham & Northumberland Two / Fire at Redcar Clubhouse
« on: January 21, 2015, 10:08:11 AM »
Just read about this. Hope everything turns out OK and well done to the Redcar volunteers tackling the mess.  I hope it doesn't sound flippant but I hope the bath stays! Redcar are one of the few clubs that seem to have a proper bath nowadays

A statement on the Redcar Rugby Club’s Facebook page said: “The fire started in the electric mains cupboard which is housed inside the changing rooms unfortunately all changing rooms have received fire damage of some sort and will require extensive renovation until accessible again.

“The clubhouse and bars, squash courts and gym have all escaped any damage at all and will be back up and running within the next 24 hours if Northern Electric can provide us with a temporary power source.

“An initial thank you to Sean Condell Snr and Jnr and Derek and Neil Young who have been cleaning and gutting the affected area from 11pm till 2:30am so Northern Electric can make a start first thing in the morning.

“Thanks again for all your support people and if at all possible we will calling for help on mass when the big clean and restoration is underway.”
