Apparently the game between morpeth and driffield was abandoned as the referee was knocked out in the 28th minute. How can this happen? :o :o :o

We've (consett 2s) have just lost our candy league fixture this weekend against mowden they conceded as im guessing they couldnt raise a squad to travel strangely enough the same thing happened earlier in the season at there place so thats twice theyve conceded against us its a worrying thought for development rugby in the north east when county durhams premier side cant raise 3 sides

Just out of curiousity can anyone enlighten me with the actual 2018 ruling regarding to an attacking player being tackled hitting the floor and a team mate bridging him at a ruck can you still do this or is it classed as killing the ball meaning an opposition penalty as what happened in a game i played in at the weekend? Or are you ment to get over the player and not bind onto him even if there is no counter rucking/jack'ling from the opposition.

Think its a dieing art them penalty moves although i remember one in my youth days of plug 1, 2 or 3 it was basically 3 different players running different angles and battering into the opppsition defence but was only used deep in opposition 22 nowadays you just kick it into the corner for a lineout although you probs could catch a few teams offguard with these old school tactics

North One / Percy park v consett 20/10/18

Been a bit quiet in north one recently. This weekend sees a derby between percy park and consett. Consett currently bottom and winless after losing to morley in the dieing minutes and percy park mid table although were giving a thrashing at driffield last weekend. How will this game go? Consett to break there duck throw the kitchen sink at park and sneak away with a win which is well overdue. Thoughts??

If it wasnt for your description zerpo id of put my money on mowden they cant field 3 sides on a weekend yet have 3 sides playing league rugby think its a case of look at the better fixture cry off one and play the other.

Ive heard of impetigo due to rugby when coming in contact with someone else who has it but MRSA due to rugby seems a weird one.

Consett were leading til the last five mins when our openside was harshly binned for killing the ball and west leeds went onto score from the resulting penalty so im told other than that consett were leading all game apart from very early on when west leeds got the opening score.
