CLS were just woeful on Saturday, no venom in attack and calamity defence. Credit to their forwards (well 7 of them) who were the real threat of the team and they were, for the most part, a great bunch of lads and i hope they can turn their fortunes around again. As for the last lad, he deemed it ok to continue to taunt one of our lads who were on the floor receiving medical treatment. Needless to say, it was towards the end of the game and banter is fine but that was just idiotic.

I was playing for Chester on Saturday, and there was a bit of niggle, nothing major though. The incident in question, there was a poorly judged comment, borne out of frustration due to our poor performance and we have dealt with it in-house. No malice intended whatsoever, and out of character.

24-12 to Chester in a really competitive game.  All credit to Tech for their part in a good game.

Chester's match with BBOB last weekend was a league/cup double header.

The final is definitely tonight at Durham City, 7:30 KO.

It was a strange one, as it hadn't been that kind of game until that point.

You're right though, both sides totally committed and pushed it right to the end. Best of luck to Seaham for the rest of the season too.

Great competitive game at Chester yesterday. Chester really fast out of the blocks but spent the last 20-25 minutes of the first half on the back foot, with a lad in the sin bin. Back and forth in the second half, and a second yellow meant Chester finished with 14, but managed to cap a good performance with a strong finish and a bonus point. Only downside was the totally unnecessary fisticuffs right at the end that could have seen more red cards on either side.  >:(

Same as a lot of the others, really can't see past Aycliffe and Richmondshire. Yarm and Wallsend should have their eyes on next season, as should Seghill in all honesty.

Chester-le-Street vs Prudhoe & Stocksfield - Chester playing with lots more confidence since the Christmas break.
Richmondshire vs Houghton - Houghton very organised, but not enough to come away with a win.  BP for Richmondshire.
Seaham vs Yarm - Yarm have looked good enough when I've seen them to come away with the win here.  Possible BP.
Seghill vs Newton Aycliffe - Aycliffe have to be one of the best teams to visit the Riverside this season, and surely must get promotion this season.  Never an easy trip to Seghill, but I reckon a BP win in a very good game full of tries.
West Hartlepool TDSOB vs Jarrovians - Jarrow much better this season and a very even match that could go either way, leaning towards a slim victory and losing BP for Tech.

One of the finest scrum halves I've ever seen.  Really sad.  :'(

Never a good day when a club goes under at any level.  Welsh appear to have massively overstretched themselves financially in pursuit of the Premiership dream, but let's face it, who wouldn't have done put in their place?  They probably never predicted what a harsh lesson their solitary season was going to be, and underestimated the further financial implications of Premiership rugby  Let's hope they can come back in some way.

Houghton vs Newton Aycliffe - Aycliffe win, but not by many.
Jarrovians vs Richmondshire - Can't see past a big Richmond win.
Prudhoe & Stocksfield vs Seghill - Could be close, plumping for a Seghill win.
Wallsend vs Hartlepool B.B.O.B. - Comfortable Wallsend win.
Yarm vs West Hartlepool T.D.S.O.B. - Comfortable Yarm win.

As for what others predict, I don't think it has any negative effect.  If anything, it gives you motivation to try and prove them wrong.

Great game down at Chester yesterday. Pretty back and forth for a little while until Seghill edged themselves a couple of tries ahead going into the last 10 minutes. It was looking like it would finish with Seg winning, but the Chester lads got one back and produced a fantastic effort in the last few minutes, camped in the Seghill 22, finally battering over with the last play and landing a great kick for the draw.

Newton Aycliffe vs West Hartlepool T.D.S.O.B.- Home win, be extremely surprised if it isn't a very big home win. Aycliffe are sure to be title contenders.
Prudhoe & Stocksfield vs Jarrovians - P&S, but very close to call, losing BP for Jarrow.
Seaham vs Chester-Le-Street - Chester win, decimated by injuries and unavailability last week, very much a chance to get a W on the board.
Seghill vs Hartlepool B.B.O.B.- Comfortable Seghill win.
Yarm vs Richmondshire - Richmond, but closer than you'd imagine.
