Penrith 106 Guisborough 7
As much as it pains me to post this but the early season predictions of 'looks like a  long hard season for Guisborough' hopefully has bottomed out with this 'result' .Due to work I could'nt travel yesterday to support the lads that have turned out for this and 'hats off' to them for making the long trip &  giving it a go...it must have been horrible.
The pre season  loss of our Coach Trevor Edwards has been monumental with no disrespect to the lads that have stepped up to coach  its coming home to roost that in this league you need a big 1st team squad and we got away with injuries/availability last season not so this.
Picking the lads up from this and trying to stay positive for the rest of the season will take some effort and not the ideal preparation for introducing some talented colts  hopefully they are made of the right stuff and the future will look brighter.

Sad to read Bezz. Penrith is a tough place to go to at the best of times. Dust yourselves down and keep going!
