Five/Six Nations Internationals who played locally.
« on: February 03, 2017, 05:58:50 PM »
With the Sux Nations starting tomorrow I was wondering how many past players played international rugby while representing local clubs?

Obviously Gosforth pre Falcons would've had loads but there may be some unlikely ones about. Ken Goodall played No8 for Ireland whilst studying at Newcastle Uni and playing for Winlaton Vulcans, did Alan Tomes play for Gateshead Fell while playing for Scotland?

Anybody have any others to add?

Fiedlim McLoughlin of Northern. A canny video by Guinness on him from a couple of years ago
