Another fight and abandoned game?

Yes.  According to the RFU North Division website the game was abandoned on 63 minutes for fighting

Think a few of us would be interested to know how many subs BBOB used. And where they suddenly managed to get 25 players from...

Used 5 subs mate, can get a copy of the score card for you if you want? Sometimes players make themselves available who wouldn't be normally! Terrible when the whipping boys turn up for a game isn't it?

I only ever played in one abandoned game at Boro in the 80's and to be fair we all walked off wondering what the fuss was!

From a referees point of view it seems the players and clubs need to take some responsibility even if you think the ref isn't much. The RFU will not take kindly to any clubs involved an abandoned game so the clubs will bear the brunt of any sanctions. Players might not like decisions and referees do make mistakes but players wouldn't like being barracked every time they knocked on, missed a tackle or delivered a poor pass so why is it acceptable for the ref to be treated that way? Poor discipline is the captains responsibility.

It's hard enough attracting and retaining referees as much as it is players we need to all take responsibility in these situations.

Well done NA on their championship. We turned up and tried hard but the bigger stronger team won the day! 3-0 after 35 mins. Then we were camped in the NA 22 for 15 mins at one point but couldn't break the defence down. Keep that team together and they will be pushing for promotion next year too!!

Tremendous contest up at Wallsend. A tough, physical game played in great spirit! If they can get that team out every week I can see them winning DN3 comfortably next season! Cheers for the lagers after the game!

In all fairness to Brigade, they turned up for a game at Seaham a few weeks ago with a big squad of players.

And aws far as substitutions are concerned at this level, you are allowed to use five rolling subs for a maximum of nine interchanges.

Neil i think Mr barmyyarmy was trying for a bite the game was played in good spirits by both teams and as you know from previous visits the after match feed left the yarm lads full and contented lol.
