22/04/17 Fixtures DN2
« on: April 20, 2017, 12:37:44 PM »
Come on this used to be the best board on the forum! It's all quiet on the western front these days! It's your last predictions for nearly 5 months!

Ashington v Whitby. Ash to pip it with home advantage
Blyth v Redcar. Redcar to finish a great season in style.
Darlington v Whitley Bay Rockcliff. Rock HAVE to win and win big for any hope to go up.
Ponteland v Seaton Carew. Pont to cap off a successful season with a victory here. Seaton Carew will have to regroup next year.
Sedgefield v Bishop Auckland. Sedge to finish the season showing they do deserve to be in the league!
Sunderland v North Shields. Clsoe game but Sunderland by 7
Winlaton Vulcans v South Shields. Winlaton will be pushing for a comfortable 9th placed finish

Ashington v Whitby away win
Whitby to round off a good season
Blyth V Redcar away win
Long day for blyth
Darlington v WBR away win
Think they will get the better of dralo
Ponteland v seton Carew home win
Only one winner here.
Sedgefield v bishop Auckland away win
Think bishops backs will win it for them
Sunderland v North Shields home win
wouldn't be surprised if Shields turned them over
Winlaton v Shields away win
Neither side anything to play for but think Shields will want a win just that bit more

Ash v Whit - Long trek for Whit and away wins used to be as rare as Scots in a Lions squad but they have moved on this season and a win will see them finish 4th which is pretty good for a team some predicted for relegation. Ash have improved also this year but have lost the last 5 so confidence may be low. Away win
Blyth v Champs- Car to finish with another win but Blyth may make it tough as they look to build for next season. Away win
Darlo v Rock- Depends on what team Rock travel with as promotion has now gone so some players may not fancy it that much. Darlo strong at home so Home win
Runners up v Going down- if can only go one way and may get messy unless Seaton front up. Home win
Sedge v Bish- Local derby that Bish will be keen not to lose and if reports of Sedge missing some are true then Away win
Sun v N Shields - Think Sun will take this just but end of season apathy may play a role in what selections are on the pitch. Home win
Vulcans v S Shields- Shields will want to go down with heads held high and I think they could well win this but you never know with Vulcans as players seem to pick and choose their games and this is one they may fancy. Close away win.
All in all not a classic season for the league but it certainly is competitive with most teams capable of beating anyone on their day as some results have shown. Sedge have surprised most of us with their performances and Seaton and Blyth have probably fallen short of what we expected. Whit have improved for last 2 seasons while some teams have just tred water for various reasons such as injuries and non availability. Best 2 teams have gone up while the last relegation place has been a dog fight to the end pending what happens to relegation from other leagues. What are your thought on it all?

Ashington v Whitby, on paper it should be away win but fancy Ash to do it, home win
Blyth v Redcar, away win, congratulations to Redcar from the Rock old farts, well done its deserved this season
Darlo v Rock, played at the Darlo arena so our boys looking forward to it, away win
Pont v S Carew, as much as we would like a Seaton win, it won't happen, congratulations to Pont on last weeks cup win, and on pipping us for promotion, you gits !
Sedge v Bish, home win
Sundlund v N Shields home win
Vulcans v S Shields home win
Looking forward to next season, missing you already !
