Not really Durham and northumberland related but a talking point anyways. South leicester RFC have decided to pull out of the leagues after relegation from national north 2. There 1st 7 games of the new season have finished in losses to bourneville (A) 119-0,  Newport (H) 119-7, Bridgnorth (A) 74-16,  Nuneaton (H) 127-7, Broadstreet (A) 124-7,  Paviours (H) 124-7 and Bromsgrove (A) 240-0. What a season  :o :o just goes to show what happens when clubs are living above there means and how relegation and player loyalty effects there clubs.

That's exactly what the forum's for! We need more rugby chat regardless of where or what level it is.

It's a sad indictment of payment in rugby - but some clubs never learn. Indeed they only learn when it's too late.

You can add to the list plenty of clubs who have fallen out of the leagues. Immediately springing to mind are Halifax and Solihull?

Payment really isn't sustainable - even Championship clubs struggle!

Inevitable. Manchester have never recovered, Orrell are in Level 8, and Wakefield just disappeared almost overnight.
