Hi. It's going to be an interesting season for certain. At Barney we could be in for another roller coaster ride. When we put out our strongest team last year we could take anybody on, but on a number of occasions we lacked a bit of strength in depth to cope with injuries and unavailabilities. Towards the end of the season we really gelled though and were able to field a consistently strong side. We tend to do better at the beginning and end of the season when pitches are firmer and we can use our pace and mobility to best advantage. Pre-season is looking good though with a healthy turnout and several promising new faces and we don't seem to have any major departures yet -  apart from our two Czech lads. However, some of our flying youngsters will be off to Uni so we will only see them during the early part of the season, Christmas, Easter and the odd weekend home. Overall though I think the season will be positive with a bit more strength and depth and predict the following:

1. Ponteland
2. Acklam
3. Rock
4. Redcar
5. Barney
6. BBOB
7. Bishop
8. North Shields
9. Wallsend
10. Ashington
11. Seaton
12. Hartlepool
13. S Tyneside
14. Winlaton

Looking forward to it!  ;)

I'm going with Acklam & Ponte in top two slots with Acklam winning it if they have kept all their players from Y1..

Any two from Acklam, Ponteland or Redcar to go up by my reckoning. And I don't think Bishop Auckland or Whitley Bay Rockcliff can be written off either. Either way it looks like being a belter of a season. Good luck to all.

Agree with coochi although i think the top and bottom 4 teams will finish within those groups of 4 but maybe in different positions its going to be that tight

Has something changed down at Bishop like? The majority so far have predicted them to finish fourth and lower...
Acklam to win it; they're likely to be the strongest in the division if what everyone else has said about them is true. Second promotion spot to be contested between WBR and Ponteland. I think that Hartlepool, STC and Winlaton are likely to be involved in the relegation battle.

we think its very early to predict division placings but as lots of other folks have stuck their necks out here goes:-
1 Rock
2 Ponty
3 Acklam
4 Redcar
5 Bish
6 Seaton C
7South Tyne Coll
8 Barney
9 BBOB
10 N. Shields
!! Ash
12 Walls
13 Hartlepool
14 Winlaton

Rock have a good coach and the boys have had an enjoyable pre-season but quite honestly there are at least 5 good contenders to win the league this year. If the commitment and quality of play is anything like last year we old farts won't be complaining. Good luck to all and see you shortly.

Acklam, rumour has it they have a player known as "frank the tank". Supposedly a massive beast leaving a trail of destruction...

Ryan you are an egotistical mong lol.

Bit bias playing for acklam and not seen some of the teams for a few years but having played stockton and Horden already and fairing very comfortably, I can't see past acklam. Ponteland have always been a reasonable side. Have Rockcliff acquired some players or had a good youth side come through?
