New to Ladies Rugby:Where do I start?

Hi All, Just looking for a bit of advice please.  I am 33 years old, living in Newton Aycliffe and interested in getting involved in Ladies rugby locally.  I'm only starting out so working from a complete novice level and as a result I'm not sure what my ability is.  Any advice or tips on how to get started would really be appreciated.  I realise my lack of experience might make me sound like a bit of a dodgy prospect but we've all got to start somewhere don't we!    Thanks in advance folks!

Bishop Auckland and Acklam have social sides, Sunderland compete in the leagues..... Another team may be forming in the Durham area very soon as well... loads of options

Darlington Mowden Park have touch rugby sessions every week so it might be worth a go down there where you will learn all the basics without the need for any contact. If you go on their website or search for them on twitter, I'd imagine all the details of timings and location are on there.

Bishop Auckland are in a league next year as well - the same one as Acklam.  They are playing touch at the moment, and training on Thursdays at 7pm at West Mills, Bishop Auckland DL14 7PA.  They have a big section and are looking for new players for next season. I also live in Aycliffe and help out with Bishop Girls so I can introduce you if you wish.
